(Quellinstraat 49, 2018 Antwerp, Belgium, company number 0795.792.849) or SkillShift Philippines (4th Floor, Keyland Building, 114 Valero St., Salcedo Village, Makati City). For privacy questions, contact us at info@skillshift.global.
2. What data do we process?
We process only data required for our services. This may include contact details, company and vacancy information, correspondence and technical security data such as IP addresses and logs.
For candidates, we may also process a CV, employment history, education, qualifications, language level, identity and immigration documents and other information required to assess suitability, recruitment, permits, DMW documentation, pre-departure requirements and placement. We process special-category or criminal-offence data only where a valid legal basis exists and this is necessary.
3. Why do we process data and on what basis?
We use personal data to answer enquiries, assess vacancies and candidates, perform recruitment and placement processes, prepare and perform agreements, arrange permits and statutory documents, prevent fraud and secure our systems.
Depending on the situation, our legal basis is taking steps before or performing a contract, compliance with a legal obligation, our legitimate interest in careful and secure service delivery or your consent when specifically requested. You may withdraw consent at any time; this does not affect earlier processing.
4. Who receives data?
We may share data with other SkillShift entities, prospective or existing employers with the candidate's knowledge, authorised recruitment partners in the Philippines, immigration, legal, relocation and IT providers, and authorities such as the IND, Belgian migration and labour authorities and DMW/MWO. We share no more than necessary and put processing and confidentiality arrangements in place where required.
We do not sell personal data.
5. Transfers outside the EEA
Our services connect the Netherlands, Belgium and the Philippines. Where personal data is processed outside the European Economic Area, we use a valid transfer mechanism and appropriate safeguards where required, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. You may ask us for information about the applicable safeguards.
6. How long do we retain data?
We generally retain an enquiry for no more than two years after the last meaningful contact, unless a contract, dispute or statutory retention duty requires another period. We generally delete unsuccessful-candidate data no later than four weeks after the recruitment process; with explicit permission, we may retain it for up to one year for future opportunities.
We retain contractual, tax, immigration and employment documents for the period required by applicable law. Security logs are kept no longer than necessary for security and incident investigation. We then delete or anonymise the data.
7. Your privacy rights
You may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or transfer of your data and may object to processing. Send your request to info@skillshift.global. We may request additional information to verify your identity.
You may also lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority or the Belgian Data Protection Authority. We appreciate the opportunity to resolve your concern first.
8. Cookies, security and automated decisions

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect data. SkillShift does not make decisions based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
9. Changes
